Marika Tenusar

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu in 1988. In 1989, I completed my residency in ophthalmology at the Department of Ophthalmology at Tartu University Hospital and at the Department of Ophthalmology at Ida-Viru Central Hospital.

In 1989, I started working in the Ophthalmology Department at Ida-Viru Central Hospital. Since 2018, I have also been working at Silmalaser.

I gained my professional expertise at the Eye Clinic of Tallinn Central Hospital, the Helsinki University Hospital, and the Fyodorov Eye Clinic in Moscow. I successfully passed the eye surgery examination in 1995 at the Sebastopol Eye Surgery Centre in the State of California, USA, under Prof. Dr T. Suslov. Since then, I have mainly specialised in cataract surgery (monofocal and multifocal lenses), glaucoma surgery, blepharoplasty, laser treatment, and minor plastic surgery.

I have taken part in numerous international seminars in the US, China, the UK, France and Italy. I am a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

I spend my spare time with my large family.
