Kaarel Kree
My day-to-day work focuses on eye surgery, particularly cataract and glaucoma surgery. In my outpatient practice, I specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of various eye conditions. In addition to my clinical work, I carry out research at the University of Tartu, focusing on retinal diseases.
I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu in 2020, after which I began a residency in ophthalmology and eye surgery, which I completed in 2026. I have passed the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) diploma examination and, since 2024, have been pursuing a PhD at the University of Tartu.
I have further developed my knowledge and surgical skills at eye centres in Estonia and Germany, and I regularly take part in international professional training courses and conferences. In my spare time, you’ll often find me out running by the sea or taking photos of nature, city streets and people.
