Common causes include corneal irregularities (keratoconus, corneal dystrophy), clouding of the lens (cataract) or even dry eye.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Methods used for examinations include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Corneal topography and tomography, which measure the shape, thickness and irregularities of the cornea.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aberrometry, which analyses the distortion of light in the eye and the transparency of optical pathways.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Objective observation of optical media<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Binocular double vision disappears when one eye is closed. In this case, the problem is with <strong>cooperation between the eyes.<\/strong> This can be due to fatigue or more serious neurological conditions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/><strong>If you notice double vision, do the following test:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cover one eye. If double vision persists, the eye itself is probably to blame.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If it disappears, it is due to the cooperation between the eyes.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p><br\/><strong>In either case, you should consult a doctor<\/strong>, especially if the problem is sudden or persistent.
